BBS „Otto von Guericke“ organized an annual school event on 20 June 2017. 838 Students, visitors and teachers were given insight in our different tracks and courses by offering activities in those various training fields.
Among those were opticians, surveying assistants, carpenters, electricians, car mechanics, A`level students, design techniques.
Our school has received a historic photo album. The donor, Mrs. Hildegard Schuldes, handed over the chronic of a marching band to our headmaster on the occasion of Otto von Guericke Day.

According to the state`s authority for drug abuse it would be better to deal with the problem rather than just calling for help, for example by talking to parents and students as well as giving roadshows on the issue of drug abuse.
With the first snowdrops in sight, spring is on its way to us. Our school choir, together with the Magdeburg Boys`Choir will perform a spring concert paying tribute to this extraordinary time of the year.

Where: School Auditorium
The songs presented will be a mix of different centuries as well as modern songs. The boys` choir will also present a selection of songs of their current programme.

Teachers and students will introduce courses of our school to anyone interested on 25 March 2017, from 9 to 12. The courses most asked for will be all about Grammar school tracks focusing on Health and Social, Business, IT and Engineering.
After 3 years of full-time schooling the students will pass their exams to gain A`level, thus aquiring access to German universities and colleges.
Moreover, there are courses qualifying Technical Engineers, ending with a college entrance standard certificate after 2 years (full-time) or 4 years ( evening courses). In these courses, practical experience as journeyman is required . Applicants without such experience can also gain it after the courses.
