The best students of every other year join a national competition in their fields, organized by the chambers of skilled crafts and trades. This competition has been organized for about 140 trades in a long tradition for 50 years.
It is one of the key aims of these competitons to give evidence of the advantages of modern apprenticeships in various businesses, so that those participants particularly gifted can be further promoted in their professional careers. Besides, such competitions provide a lot of positive publicity for the students` performance during their job training. Furthermore, it can be seen as contribution to intensify the cooperation of all people involved in job training, thus ensuring high levels of both the students` performance and exams.
Any craftsman or craftswoman under the age of 28 and with good exam results is entitled to participate in the competition. What will be assessed? It can either be a journeyman`s piece or work sample made during or under conditions of the competition.
This year, we are particularly happy to have students from our school among the winners.

- Gunnar Herms ( sprayer )
- Moritz Wille ( locksmith )
